Country Conditions Expert

Prior to joining academia, I worked with refugees, asylees, and immigrants in Atlanta, GA for several years. During that time, I provided direct services as well as was managed various programs for refugees, asylees, and immigrants. I draw on  these experiences as well as my 15+ years longitudinal ethnographic research about the Liberian refugee community to write pro-bono high-quality country conditions reports and to testify for (affirmative or defensive) asylum cases as well as those seeking Relief under the Convention Against Torture.

I have provided written and oral testimony for Liberian nationals for claims related to persecution due to being former child soldiers, Americo Liberian, LGBTQIA+, individuals who are supporting LGBTQIA, belonging to secret societies, and GBV.
